Day 10 - Song you listen to when you are:

Ok so I skipped this day... and I think I know why.. (thanks Amanda for telling me :))
I was busy doing it when I got called away and closed my laptop and forgot to post it.. So here it is:

When I am happy, I will listent to any songs really.. For example: Little Lies by Dave Barnes.

Now, when most people are sad, they listen to sad songs.. not me. When I'm sad, I try to hype myself out of being sad.. so I listent to up-beat songs. For example: somthing from the Black Eyed Peas.. I would try to do some dancing too. Im a dancer so I like any music eccept heavy metal and classical music..

When Im bored, I would listen to anything .. Almost Love by Jessica Jarrel

When I am mad, I like to listen to calming music to try and not be mad.. hehe Cuz when Im mad, im MAD!

I am one of those poeple who love a good beat to dance to.. so I like new music and I do have the cant die classics like Vannila Ice ect.

So there you go. Hopw you enjoyed! :)

Day 11 - another pic of you and your friends

This is my year 12 ball foto. These are all my girls and I. We were a tight nit group at school. :)

This is a picture on a cliff in southern Spain. If you look very closely, you can see Africa in the distance.. Our Spanish class went to Spain for a school trip. It was sooooo exciting! Would love to go back there one day.

Day 9 - Something you are proud of in the past few days.

Hmmm well this was harder than I thought...

Well I am proud that we (My husband and I) got a new van for our business! Our very first van. It will be used to transport labourers to work sites ect. We though it would take us months to save up for it, but we managed to pull it off.. and it paid off too!

We are very happy and I am extremely proud of my husband and how hard he works. Our business has only been going for about 3 months and already we are making about 80c a minute profit. And we started from scratch. So happy and so optimistic for the future.

:)

Day 8 - Short term goals for this month and why

Phew! Yesterday was such a busy day! had to go see the doctors for my last consultation before the transplant. SO today I will be doing 2 posts - day 8 & 9.

So.. What are my short term goals and why?
Well this one was easy for me.

  • Exercise. I want to keep a regular exercise regime for not just the next month.. but the next 2 months so that I can be as fit as I can be bore the kidney transplant in 10 weeks. Mainly because I want to recover fast and put my surgery at low risk. Also so that I can have more energy :)
  • Diet. Now this isnt your ordinary 'need to lose weight' diet. No no no. I need to eat more meat, vitamin C and protein so that my hemoglobin (iron) can come up. At the moment it is at about 90 (very low) and they wont do the surgery unless it is at 110. Jsut so that Im not at risk of beeding. If my iron is low, then my blood wont clot as easily. I also need to watch my fluid comsumption and salt consumption to keep my blood pressure down. Wow, kidney failure sure can cause alot of problems aye?
  • Last but not least... Medication. I seriously need to remember my epo injections so that my body can produce hemoglobin. Its absolutely vital. I can eat as much meat as I please, but without the injection.. I wont absorb any iron. And I DONT want the surgery postponed.
So there you have it. My short term goals are purely to get ready for the transplant taking place in November. Cant wait! :)

My puppies

These pics were taken a different times.. And I dont seem to have alot of Bailey (The brown female). But here are some anyway.. CUTE aye?

Day 7 - A picture of someone/something that has the biggest impact on you

Well I must say I have a few things/people who impact me the most. So Im not going to post just one pic, Im goin to post a few :). I adore all these things/people and I will list why: They are in no particular order.

This is my huaband. Without him, I would be lost. now this pic was taken a couple of years ago.. but he still looks the same, except with a short haircut :). He is the one saving my life and giving me a kidney. I love him so much!

My two gorgeos puppies.. Moses and bailey. Bailey is the choc female lab and Moses (Mo) is the yellow male lab. Every time I look at them or play with them, they make me feel so happy.

My parents.. I cought them by surprise hehe.. this was when we were on our way to wanaka (a family trip) at the airport. I love them to bits and they are the most amazig and supportive parents EVER!

And Fianlly, my dialysis. This is my catheter, pic taken about 2 mins after surgery (horrific as i was awake entire time). It is what is keeping me alive untill my transplant on the 17th of November! I cant wait! I dont like dialysis at all.. its a nightmare. It doesnt hurt or anything like that... It just annoying having to do it 4 times a day. :)

So these are a few of the things which impact me the most.. I have more things.. but Im lazy today hehe. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Please go check out my other blog about my dialysis and everything.. will have a new post up shortly :)

Day 5 - a pic of somewhere you have been

Ok so these two pics are of when our family went to the south island last year this time.. we went to wanaka, cross country skiing and to puzzle world. We really wanted to treat my sister.

This pic is of me, my mum and lil sis standing in an illusion room, it looks like the ground is perfectly level, but it is actually on an angle.. and in the room, everything is like messed up! it just didnt look right. lol

This is where we went cross country skiing, my dad and i tackles the 14km loop, which was so much fun! Its alot more physical than normal mountain skiing or snowboarding.

So there you have it.. I would have put pictures up of when I went to Spain, but I dont have access to them on this computer. Hope you enjoyed! XO

Day 4 - A habbit you wish you didnt have..

So today's challenge is to write about a habbit you wish you didnt have.. Now I have the most annoying and time wasting habbit of all:

Pressing the off button on my alarm (thinking i've pressed the snooze button) and telling myself "10 more mins" and waking up like an hour later. And then I have to walk to work, and with this weather, its not a whole lot of fun. The up side is that I get a good sleep and feel better.. but being late for work isnt good at all.

I wish I had the will power to get up as soon as my alam goes off.. but I have such a nice comfy king size bed! :( Although it is easier in summer as its not so cold :)

So that is my annoying habbit i wish i didnt have. Hope you enjoyed! XO

Day 3 - A picture of you and your friends

This picture is at my mother in law's 50th birthday party at this gorgeos old house out in the country. Im the one on the far right.. and by this stage I had downed quite a few of those glasses of red wine! haha.

This picture is about a year old, just because I dont have many pics of me and my friends in them.

IN OTHER NEWS:

I have a date for a transplant!! I will be getting my brand new kidney from my lovely husband on the 17th of November this year! So excited! :)

Day 2: Meaning Behind Blog Name

So, you want to know the meaning behind my blog name?

I'd be lying if I gave you some genius metaphorical reason behind it hehe.

Its simple really.. I dont have any idea why i called it that. As it happend, I was saying that exact phrase to my husband while telling him that we are missing some gear according to our gear register. While at the same time trying to create my blog because I was so excited about starting the 30 Days of Me. So as I said the phrase "correct me if im wrong", i wrote it absentmindedly and sort of just stuck with it.

Haha so there is no real meaning behind my blog name, it sort of just.. happend. :)
